Labelling automotive products

Every vehicle is a perfect combination of various components, which ultimately have to work in changeable conditions. Depending on their function, they may be exposed to extreme temperatures, pressure changes or overloading. Therefore, labels designed for the automotive industry must face up to the high demands placed on them by their specific working conditions.

From the supply chain during production to the provision of information on use, maintenance and user safety, at each stage these labels perform different functions. However, they have one thing in common: they must be durable and legible regardless of the circumstances in which they will operate.

In the automotive industry, labels made of polyester (PET), vinyl (PVC), polypropylene (PP) and paper are the most widely used.

Solutions for the automotive industry can be divided as follows (the type determines the materials and raw materials that should be used for production and printing):

  • labels used in the passenger cabin (informative),
  • under-bonnet component labels and vehicle exterior labels (e.g. tyre labels).

It is also crucial to mention labels made from duct type material. The circles we supply are commonly referred to as 'grey dots’. These are used to attach kanban cards at successive stages of vehicle production, as well as to fix a printed consignment note or other document relating to the consignment.

These types of labels are characterised by their high durability and excellent adhesion.
