Labels for sample marking in the analytical laboratory
Our labels comply with RoHS 2, which means that they are in line with the European Parliament’s directive limiting the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
In principle, we offer three types of products for analytical laboratories:
- blank labels for self-printing,
- labels with a printed barcode for the labelling of samples,
- doctor referral cards used in some healthcare facilities.
Blank labels
Self-adhesive labels on self-printing rolls are also popular among customers. We offer both white labels (these are the most commonly used) and coloured labels, used by laboratories to mark urgent (cito) tests. In addition, we have a range of thermal transfer ribbons suitable for printers used by analytical laboratories.
Labels with pre-printed barcodes
These are used for labelling material for analysis taken from or provided by patients. Our labels intended for use with laboratory specimens are made from wood-free glossy paper and an extremely durable acrylic adhesive characterised by excellent bonding to a variety of surfaces. This adhesive is approved for use with food in compliance with European regulations (1935/2004/EC).
Printing with this type of label is carried out on a perfectly matched wax-resin ribbon. This ensures the durability and readability of the code. It is also resistant to abrasion, which is particularly important in the case of samples that are subjected to prolonged handling and storage.
Libeli’s laboratory labels have a temperature resistance range of -30 to +80 degrees Celsius.
As for the dimensions, we have standard sizes which include: 30×12, 32×20, 40×14, 40×20, 76×98 and 76×104 mm. With an extensive range of machinery, we are able to produce labels in other sizes to suit the individual needs of the laboratory.
The labels we produce are packaged in rolls, folds and sheets. We adapt the finishing method each time to the customer’s mode of operation. Types of labels include 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 codes.
Upon request of the laboratory, we monitor the current numbering of codes so that its continuity is maintained and each number is unique both in a single laboratory and in a network of laboratories spread across the country.
Doctor referral cards
This is a product that significantly increases the automation of entering data on tests ordered for a particular patient into the computer system being used. The cards are used to mark the types of medical tests to which the patient has been referred.
