Rating plates
It is no secret that every electronic device must have a so-called rating plate containing important information about the specific equipment model. The most common are: the name of the manufacturer, the power supply parameters of the respective electrical appliance, the serial number, the date of manufacture and the necessary markings, e.g. CE.
Depending on the type of equipment, the country it is intended for and legal requirements applicable there, the information contained on a rating plate may vary. This type of labelling can be found on white goods, household appliances of various sizes, as well as on computer equipment in general.
Rating plates in the form of labels are most often made of polyester and vinyl, as these materials have unique properties, the most important of which is durability, resulting from high resistance to external factors such as environmental conditions, UV radiation, various chemicals, water, as well as mechanical damage possible both during production or transport and daily use of the device.
We must also bear in mind warning labels, such as 'high voltage’, which are intended to inform the equipment user of the importance of safe handling due to the connection to power supply. In this case, we usually deal with labels in yellow, as well as white, on which we use personalised overprint.
By using suitable base materials and adhesives, Libeli’s nameplates and warning labels adhere perfectly to both plastic and metal casings (including those that have undergone a painting or oiling process). They stick to the surface and are difficult to remove. And the thermal transfer printing we offer ensures that the individual characters are legible and durable over the lifespan of any given piece of equipment.
The polyester (PET) rating plates offered by our company are UL and CSA recommended, which confirms that these products are approved for sale in the United States and Canada and are fully safe, and that the printed markings on them will be completely legible during the lifespan of the equipment and will not pose any risk to its users.
Libeli also offers high-quality labels made of vinyl (PVC). Products bearing these types of labels are considered to be 'top of the range’ appliances. The durability of rating plates and warning labels made of vinyl is up to 12 years (in outdoor conditions), which means that they can last much longer than the period of any manufacturer’s guarantee.
Regardless of the material and adhesive selected, every label produced by Libeli can be printed either in-house or at our company, according to the specifications provided. We also offer assistance in selecting the suitable label printing equipment, which may also be purchased from us.
