Polyester (PET) labels
Polyester labels are a highly durable solution for cases where the labelling must be resistant both to changing weather conditions and to various chemicals. PET labels can also withstand mechanical damage that may occur during transport or daily use of labelled products. At the same time, they always look impeccable.
All Libeli products are UL and CSA approved for sale in the USA and Canada, which means that they are safe and their labelling will remain readable for the entire intended life of a device and, during that period, will not present any danger. An additional requirement for the electronics industry may be the absence of electrostatic charge transfer. Thus, ESD-coated PET labels will be needed.
The temperature range that polyester labels can easily withstand is between -40 and +150 degrees Celsius. As for the endurance, if we use heat-stabilised polyester, it reaches +220 degrees Celsius.
Labels made from stabilised polyester are necessary when the application takes place prior to the furnace heating process for powder-coated products. They are used in conjunction with a transparent protective film. Once the process is complete, we remove the protection, thereby obtaining the final product marking.
Our product range includes PET labels:
- white,
- black,
- silver,
- transparent.
An additional option is the use of self-adhesive laminate, which blocks harmful UV radiation for up to 5 years.
Depending on the intended use, different types of adhesives are used, such as rubber, acrylic or hybrid.
Polyester labels are most often used as rating plates containing the technical data of the device they are applied to. These can include serial numbers, warning information or barcodes.
Applications for PET polyester labels:
- The consumer electronics and white goods industries – they are used to label, for example, refrigerators, washing machines or dishwashers, and are great as rating plates or information labels.
- Automotive industry – they are used for labelling individual car components to provide information or warnings.
- Electrical and electronic industries – PET labels are used for labelling components in electronic devices such as computers and mobile phones, as well as for marking switchgear and control cabinets.
- Industry – polyester labels are used wherever resistance to oils, greases and even solvents is required, such as in the chemical industry.
It is also important to remember that polyester labels are also perfect for marking company property during stock-taking.
