Polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) labels
Labels made from polyethylene and polypropylene are found in virtually every industry. They are a cost-effective solution, which also has a significant impact. Labels produced by Libeli are available with acrylic, rubber and peel-off adhesives.
We can divide them into:
- transparent glossy labels,
- transparent matt labels
- white glossy labels,
- white matt labels.
These materials are most commonly used for:
- descriptive labels
- logistics labels
- informative labels
- decorative labels,
- security films.
Polyethylene (PE)
Labels made from this material are characterised by their high plasticity. They are therefore commonly applied to curved surfaces, such as bottles and bags.
Equipped with the right type of adhesive, this material is used in the following industries:
- Pharmaceutical and beauty products – transparent film is most often used due to the visual aspect. In this case, it is also important that the adhesive is highly transparent, so that a 'milky film’ effect is not created.
- Food – the aesthetics and flexibility of polyethylene labels make them ideal for labelling food products, where the label must adhere perfectly to a wide variety of package shapes.
- Medical – this type of label is ideal for regional blood donation and blood treatment centres, as well as blood banks, where, in conjunction with a suitable adhesive, it forms an excellent blood bag label.
Polypropylene (PP)
Labels made from this material are often used where there is no need to use a more durable and at the same time more expensive polyester film, due to its excellent value for money ratio. However, it must be noted that this solution has limitations in terms of the temperature range in which it can operate. However, when used in combination with a heavy-duty adhesive, it is ideal for many difficult surfaces, such as pre-treated wood, uneven and rough metal surfaces or tyres.
